In its recent survey on food trends, Spire found that 80% of consumers in Southeast Asia are concerned about their health, and thus have become more mindful of the ingredients that go into their food.
Covid-19 has also increased the desire for immunity boosting healthy food for many consumers. In the Philippines alone, the demand for fresh food saw an exceptionally high 444% year-on-year growth.
